ROBERT NAJARIAN

Robert is a highly experienced movement and fight choreographer, having worked on over one hundred projects for stage and screen, both nationally and internationally in cities such as New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Istanbul, and Taipei. 

Robert's approach to working on creating a movement language for a project focuses on collaborative exploration with the performers and creatives to establish trust, illuminate the physical aspects of storytelling, and create a unified physical language that integrates seamlessly with the rest of the production. Having studied a wide variety of movement styles including Modern Dance, Viewpoints, Suzuki, Grotowski, Le Coq, Clown and various martial arts, Robert has a wide variety of physical approaches that can be easily applied to any project.

His specialty in fight choreography and violence design makes him a highly sought out member of any creative team looking to add specific and deep technical and conceptual know-how to a project that relies on carefully considered violence as part of the story. His expertise includes historical European weapon systems, theatrical and practical firearms, and many martial arts systems including Taekwondo where he holds a 2nd Dan Black Belt from the internationally renowned Jae H. Kim Taekwondo in Boston, MA under the direct instruction of Mr. Kim.

He is a long-time member and Fight Director with the Society of American Fight Directors, where he also currently serves as the Vice-President. He is also a member of the Society of Directors and Choreographers.
